Hacked!

Well today I was hacked! Shock Horror! And it seems from people on Twitter that it happened to a lot of you!

Somehow, something managed to send things from my Twitter account today, sending messages to people with links to random sites. What a nightmare! It sent it to people I didn't know, sent it to people I hadn't spoken to in a ages, sent it to family and friends and there was NOTHING I could do about it. I was stuck in work. No 3G. No internet. The only thing I had were texts from people letting me know that I had messaged them...when I hadn't! Grrrr!! Darn you hackers!

It was so frustrating. Knowing that my account was sending out messages willy nilly and I was stuck in work, unable to do anything. I just wanted to get online somehow and stop the account but I couldn't. There was nothing I could do at that point. It wasn't until I got home that I was able to change passwords and information to stop anymore damage, and let people know exactly what had happened.

Knowing something was happening and there was nothing I could do about it was the most frustrating thing! I wonder how many other times in life we find ourselves in situations that leave us frustrated? Knowing that things are going on that there's nothing we can do about it.

And so I end with this thought.

Life is filled with moments where, at times, we find ourselves facing situations where we have no control. Those times where no matter what we do, there's nothing we can do to change them. Just like me, unable to sort my Twitter, stuck in place where there's nothing I could do about it, so too the same can happen in life. We get LIFE HACKED!

There will be lots of times in life where we find ourselves facing circumstances that we have no control over and very often it is those times that fill our mind. We stay concerned and caught up on those issues that we can't control, instead of focusing on those that we can.

There are times in life where we can't control what is happening to us, where we get LIFE HACKED, but thankfully there are far more times we can control. In life, try to focus on those things you can change and that you can do something about, and try to forget about those that are out of your control. Destiny isn't guaranteed, it's what you decide it to be!
